Lazarus, the Musical

Sunday, May 18, the choir will presenting the Sunday Worship Service with a performance of “Lazarus, the Musical.” This musical is about the biblical story of Dives, the rich man, and Lazarus, the poor who survives on the crumbs from the rich man’s table. The service is about raising awareness of hunger, homelessness, poverty, and the disparity between rich and poor.

As part of this awareness we are doing a food and clothing drive for Eastside Ministries, which serves those in need in our church’s neighborhood and other parts of east Fort Worth. Eastside Ministries provides sack lunches for the homeless, a free food pantry(including pet food) those needing help making ends meet and free clothing(underwear and socks are always in short supply) for those who need it.

You can bring your food items and clothing donation to Sunday service May 18. You also have the option to buy food from the All Peoples Church “store” now open for business in the church foyer. Then just place the items in the red Eastside cart.

Thank you for your generosity and let’s fill that cart to overflowing!
