Unitarian Universalism is a living, evolving tradition. We revisit our core ideals and wonder if the ways we articulate them remain active and relevant. And we adapt to the changing world: we build on the foundation of the past, while letting go of what no longer serves us. Over the past four years, the Article II Study Commission of the UUA has facilitated a process of discernment about our current principles and purposes – the seven (and eighth!) principles, and has promulgated a new articulation of our core values and how we can covenant to bring them into the world. This Sunday, we’ll explore how this new statement of our values can call us into deeper commitment to being agents of love in the world.
